After a tumultuous release, Marvel’s Avengers is not ready to go down just yet. Square Enix announced the improvements coming to the next-gen versions that launch on March 18.
The Marvel Avenger’s account tweeted about the updates in a picture which compares how the PlayStation 5 version will work compared to the current backwards compatible version from the PlayStation 4.
It mentions that the PlayStation 5 version will have faster load times, higher-resolution textures, spatial audio, haptic feedback and many other positive improvements. The tweet announces that it’ll run at a native 4K resolution on the next-gen console compared to the 30FPS 4K from the current PlayStation 4 version playable on PlayStation 5.
Owners of the PlayStation 4 version will be able to access these upgrades for free. They didn’t realise anything extra about the Xbox Series X and S version set to arrive next month but it’s expected that it’ll feature similar graphical upgrades.
This update will coincide with the launch of the new character, Clint Barton, arriving into the game. Barton, known mainly as Hawkeye, expects to bring new missions heavily inspired by the Old Man Hawkeye comic series. Spider-man was announced as a PlayStation exclusive DLC character last year, but no new information has been released yet.
No extra information has been released but hopefully they’ll be able to turn around Marvel’s Avengers and make a game that all the fans can enjoy.
