Since releasing in 2016, Persona 5 has been regarded as the most successful Persona game yet. There have been countless spin-offs including Persona 5 Strikers and even a dancing game.
It now seems that the world of Persona 5 will be expanding further with a new mobile spin-off called Persona 5: Phantom of the Night aka Persona 5: X. The game will be available on Android, iOS and Windows but it seems like the game may be exclusive to China.
It looks to be a pretty faithful Persona experience set in the same locations as the base game. However, Joker and the rest of the cast are not the focus this time as there are new Persona users.
The game revolves around Wonder and their owl sidekick Luffy and his friend Arai Suwa. In the trailer, Wonder is seem wondering across Tokyo just like Joker in Persona 5 and there are also clips of him dungeon crawling across the Metaverse.
Sadly, the game is not developed by Atlas but they are involved in the process. The game is developed by Black Wings Game Studio. It’s expected that the game will be a free-to-play game so fans are concerned about the monetisation in this game.
As soon as Gamer Girl Magazine knows more, we’ll update. For now, it seems that Persona fans will have to just keep playing Persona 3, 4 and 5!
